Some Unusual Uses of Condoms (Other than what it was Designed to do)

CA Staff on 19th Feb 2023

Have anyone else ever wondered what else people use condoms for? We have scoured through the internet and some may or maynot be from our staff's personal experience but here are some examples of other use of condoms

Disclaimer: it's important to note that condoms are intended for sexual purposes only, and using them in any other way may affect their effectiveness and safety. That being said, here are a few potential alternative uses for condoms:

As a makeshift waterproof phone case: Slip your phone into a condom to protect it from water damage.

To protect your fingers during messy activities: If you're painting or dying fabric, wear a condom on your finger to protect your skin from staining.

As a quick fix for a leaky faucet: If you need to replace a washer in your faucet and don't have a spare, slide a condom over the spout to temporarily stop the dripping.

To keep your hairdryer lint-free: Cover the end of your hairdryer with a condom to catch any stray hairs and prevent them from clogging up the machine.

As a balloon for a small party: Condoms can be blown up like balloons and used to decorate for a small party or gathering.

To create DIY stress balls: Fill a condom with flour or rice and tie it off to create a stress ball.

As an emergency waterproofing for shoes: If you don't have waterproof shoes and need to keep your feet dry in a pinch, wrap your feet with plastic wrap and place a condom over each foot.

As a protective covering for your golf clubs: Cut open a few condoms and slip them over the heads of your golf clubs to protect them during travel.

Again, it's important to note that condoms are primarily designed for sexual protection and using them in any other way may not be effective and can potentially be dangerous.
